Best tablet for Panasonic Image App?

My experience on tablet and Image App
1

I used tablets (Android) since their early days. I mainly use those low cost Chinese products of various sizes from 7" to 10.5". Image App ran well on all of those >US$150 tablets. I even ran the Image App on the Windows based Nokia phone a few years ago.

But the benefit of using a higher resolution/larger display would be for playback only. As you might aware that Image App will fix the size of the frame (PIP) size. A larger display would not mean higher resolution.

Since most of those low cost tablets would have a short life (max 2 years or so because of battery, hardware, upgradeability... etc), nowadays I mainly use a 6.9" Lenovo Phab (a product between tablet and smartphone) instead of a normal tablet for its portability and hopefully, durability.

Has anyone actually used ImageApp with any of the nicer/larger/higher resolution tablets? If, as has been suggested, that the screen being transmitted may be low res in any case, then there doesn't seem to be any point in getting a better tablet for this purpose.

I would love to be able to use an HDMI display but in my case (G7) HDMI goes away as soon as I start recording, and even if that were not so, I'd still need to have some way to remotely control the camera.

Thank you.
