Depth of Field with Different Sensor Sizes

I think I understand how sensor size relates to focal length but am not sure if it affects aperture or depth of field in any way. For example, I have two cameras: A Canon SL1 with an APS-C sensor and a G7X II with a 1 inch sensor.

Based on my understanding, the G7X at wide angle has a focal length equivalent to 15 mm on my SL1 (and 24 mm on a full-frame). If I take a wide angle shot with the G7X with an aperture of 1.8, will it have the same background blur and depth of field as a shot at 15 mm and an aperture of 1.8 on the SL1 and 24 mm and 1.8 on a full frame? Or are the apertures not equivalent too? I wonder the same thing with my Galaxy S7 Edge, which has a fixed aperture of 1.7 and a APS-C equivalent focal length of about 17 mm. Thanks.
