ffmpeg commands for 5D mark IV 4K video
I've used these commands with a 4K video to convert to a set of still images and to downscale to 1080p in a size suitable for uploading. I'm not an ffmpeg guru so they may not be absolutely optimal, but they seem to work for me. Just dumping them here in case they can be useful to anyone else. In each case $src represents the filename of the 4K video.
# to images
ffmpeg -i $src -codec:v copy -bsf:v mjpeg2jpeg out-%06d.jpg
# almost as good, much smaller size
ffmpeg -i $src -qscale 0 -f image2 out-%06d.jpg
# to 1080p video, small size
ffmpeg -i $src -c:v libx264 -crf 20 -preset slow -s 1920x1080 -c:a copy newvid.mov
If anyone else uses it, and has a different command, please share!
If it's a *Single* Lens Reflex, why do I need so many lenses?
