Is this legacy lens broken?

I decided to try out some legacy lenses on my Sony, before I invested in more expensive ones.

I have an old Minolta MD 50mm 1:2, which I tested out today seeing if it had any use for astro, and found that it couldn't focus entirely to infinity. It gets close, but just not quite, it's obviously not focused completely, the stars are still little oversized blobs.

I am guessing that time and temperature warped the lens? Or could it be my adapter to mount it on the camera might be slightly off in size and this causing the issue?

It's not a big deal. This is a lens I bought for $20.19 shipped, just to experiment with, but I would like to know if it might be fixable.
