Question: Adjusting aperture on the XE-2s or XE-3 (regarding 56mm 1.2)

Hi all,

Somewhat new to the Fuji world (had a x100t briefly a couple of years ago).  Pre-ordered the XE-3 and picked up the 56mm 1.2.  The 56mm came in today. As I somewhat expected  from reading the reviews the aperture ring on the lens isn't very tight and it can easily slide around. It's even looser than I anticipated, unfortunately. My question: can I simply keep the aperture ring on "A" and secure it with a piece of gaff tape and make my aperture adjustments on the camera itself through one of the front/rear dials?  Or are aperture adjustments through the camera only reserved for Fuji lenses without aperture rings?

Thanks,

Mark
