D750 not as sharp as before?

I have been lurking on DPreview for a while. Anyways, I've owned the D750 for many years. Got a shutter replacement a while ago despite it not showing any signs of shutter issues.

Well, I picked up a D7500 a few weeks ago. I decided to to a comparison between the 2.

D7500 with sigma 70-200 2.8 OS HSM @ F4 iso 400

D750 with nikon 70-200 2.8 VRii. @ F4 iso 400
Samples are below.

It was an indoor test, but after over 10+ tests, it clearly showed that the D7500 with the sigma is sharper at the same aperture and iso. Tests were performed while the cameras were stationary using a wireless remote trigger.

I swear, the D750+70-200 2.8 VRII was sharper last year when I did some tests at F4. Sadly, I do not have those test photos anymore to compare to those today. I never realized that until I saw how sharp the D7500 + sigma lens was. I understand the d7500 does not have a LPF, but shouldn't be that much of a difference.

Looking at the d750, it looks like there is some motion blur going ong. Perhaps mirror slap? I used the nikon VRII on the d7500 and produced sharp results. Clearly, it's the D750's problem. any ideas? Tried adjusting fine tune, but didn't do anything.
Not the proper way to test, but I did a wedding shoot last night and the D7500 photos were sharper too using the sigma lens
