X100f - control aperture using front or rear dial?

The DPR review of the X100f mentions that it's possible to adjust ISO, shutter speed and EC using the non-marked front and/or rear dials, instead of their dedicated dials. Is this not possible for aperture? That would be a real missed opportunity IMO - I love many things about the X100 series, but I've come to the conclusion that for me, using front and rear dials for aperture and EC is way faster and more convenient than using dedicated (marked) dials on the top plate and on the lens. Also I like having the option to control the vital exposure parameters using only one hand.
