Much love for a great camera, the magnificent E-P5! To me, it really embodies the strengths of the m43 system. It's small, stylish-looking, great IBIS, a lot of control and customization options! I like the tilt screen and detachable VF-4; I take a lot of pictures between chest and waist level. And as someone else pointed out, if you want a super discrete interchangeable lens package, just take off the view finder! With a 20mm f1.7 on there..forget about it!

One thing I wish they held over from the E-PL5 is the detachable hand grip.

Cannot do as it seems the WiFi hides in that bump area.

I modified my old one by adding a small chunk of walnut which improved the ease of carry. Since the grip was detachable, it made modifying it much less stressful!

From about year dot I've been using home made wrist straps and find that the grip is not necessary. Experimented with my E-PL5 with normal or the larger grip option for the E-P3 (I think) and also no grip at all. No problems even using 12-40/2.8 or 75-300mm. It's a matter of lens and body weight held by left hand and wrist strap plus light grip with the right hand, so in my case the grip just isn't needed.

Now, all the newer versions of the Oly bodies have flippy screens...that I DON'T like.

Agree very strongly.

I'm starting to see some color-deficient pixels on the sensor at high ISO,

Did pixel mapping do anything?

Do a 30 day trial of DxO Elite and see if their Prime noise reduction makes a difference with the raw files.

so I know a new camera body for me is on the horizon. Those flippy screens push me towards a gx85..

Yes, I visited Tom Caldwell while on holidays and gasped at his lens plus body collection, and the GX85 sure is what the Pens should be.

Regards..... Guy
