Some of the new Samsung models still have a replaceable battery, the latest J3 and J7 phones for example,

Thanks, but those are too low-end for my wife. Actually she found another Galaxy Note 4 at B&H, so for now the crisis is averted.

Yeah, figured most folks would want higher end phones. Not me, this lowly J3 has even more than I need, great screen, snappy enough, etc, so I'm very happy with it.

Will security updates continue to be available for the Note 4?

Woohoo! Finally done with iOS!

You're happy about that? If iPhones just had SD card and standard micro USB cable, I'd buy one. I'm thinking replaceable battery might be a thing of the past.

Yeah, I found iOS buggy and incredibly annoying the whole time I was using my iPad 4 and iPhone 5s. Some of the bugs were never fixed and continued the whole 4 years I used iOS. Inexcusable for a company that controls both hardware AND software!

Apple will never allow user memory expansion since that's one less way for them to rip us off. As you may have sensed, chances are I'll never buy anything 'Apple' again! Grrrrr!
