Buy two new toys - 35-105 vs 28-135 and Beercan vs Big Beercan

Like the title says, this month I plan to be totally irresponsible with the household budget and buy one or two new toys. I want to try some classics so for walkaround the 35-105 old or the 28-135. For portrait either of the Beercans. Moneywise it is a toss, maybe the 35-105 is somewhat cheaper.

What are the main differences in behaviour for casual shots? Are there any definitive advantages with either? I usually use 35-50 mm range for casual shots and rarely go above 200mm so I guess the 35-105 and Beercan would be smaller and lighter but are the other lenses better or sharper or give better colours?

As for reference, my normal lens is the Minolta 24-105 3.5-4.5D which I consider totally ok from a performance point of view. How much better will these classics be? I have never tried either of these four icons so I am just curious how they will be, will I levitate from the happiness or am I expecting too much?
