Good point. Of course 1:2 is not bad at all. It's good enough for almost everything. Definitely good enough for butterflies though I would prefer a longer lens for that. When I was still shooting Nikon I had a Sigma 3.5/180mm Macro lens that worked just perfect for butterflies and bugs.

But the 60/2.4 is much more flexible than a long dedicated macro lens. Bokeh looks very nice too. I only wished it would be f2.0.
