When you email it to yourself, what email program is sending & receiving? When you receive it on your phone, are you not "downloading" or "saving" it to your device, usually in the Download folder from the email view or is the photo just staying in the email & ends up disappearing from there? There is no way that it should delete itself from being saved in the Downloads folder but it could disappear from the email depending on what your email account sync settings are. Is the email also disappearing? If it's a Google email account, check to see if it has been saved in your Google Drive account as an automatic sync setting. You need to tell us more about your apps & process & app or email account settings. But I'd think that it's an app or email account sync setting that has been changed.
Thanks for the reply Cariboo,
For some reason, the photo seems to have stayed on the phone this time,, just seemed a bit odd when I did it exactly the same way as always and yet it kept deleting itself.
