Just want to say thank you to everyone. I'm jumping ship to Pentax.

It has been a true pleasure to be here and to have used Fuji starting with the S5 Pro, then the X10, then XE1 and XT1, and a few days with the XT2. I have learned a LOT from many of you, and I truly respect everyone here and all you guys are awesome. I know I too have been a pain on the butt and I thank you for putting up with me as well.

It will take me some time to sell all my stuff so meanwhile I will continue shooting with my existing gear. Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend.

I agree that when a person goes with full frame Canon, Nikon or Pentax cameras they're getting increased capabilities that can't be achieved by Fuji or any other camera with an APS size sensor. That's not a slam towards APS it's just a fact that the bigger the sensor, the more light gathering ability.

I said not too long ago, that the new recent FF cameras that are coming out are superior, and that is a fact. You cannot compare the quality of the files I'm getting out of this K1 compared to the old D4, worse, an APS-C sensor.

I've never been interested in full frame but have never faulted anyone who is.

Still, I wondered why you chose Pentax instead of Canon or Nikon?

In simple words, the quality of the COLORS. I have never shot with canon, but at the canon forum they have told me that their colors are pretty much the same, or can be "made" the same as nikon. No big differences there and nothing special they said.

Well, I have never shot a canon, but nikon yes, and the difference is very noticeable because I know how nikon's files look like in different light situations and I kind of "know" what I'm gonna get. The K1 is SUPER nice and the white balance is out of this world and I even seriously doubt the D810 performs (the same) even if is the "same" 36MP sensor.

What I'm gonna say might be weird, but I'm really excited just as excited like when I started shooting with the fuji S5 Pro. I feel as if the files of the K1 are a "version" of the S5 Pro but with an amplified modern 36MP sensor.

And since we are talking about this now I'm just going to have to say this. For those that say that a fuji FF would not provide a significant difference over fuji's existing APS-C, well, i can tell you that you are very wrong. I'm seeing a VERY big difference.

For me to be able to afford and enjoy a fuji medium format system will take what, another decade?? That's just not right, IMHO.

I've always been a little leery of Pentax since they sold out to Ricoh. Their DSLRs seem to lag behind Nikon and Canon when it comes, not only to autofocus speed/reliability but also in the low light/high ISO department.

I'm sure Pentax JPEG colors are very good but so are Canon and Nikon's.
