Canon Pro-10 Error "Ink tank not in correct position"

I have the error message "An ink tank is not installed in the correct position." As you can see from this photo it is indeed in the correct position, and I've tried three different cartridges with the same error message each time. I even cleaned the slot where the cartridge plugs in where I noticed a little stray ink.

I can't find anything on the Canon website and forums about this issue. Any thoughts?

I've about had it with this piece of junk. I've used it for over a year and never been able to print on the first try. It's usually an hour or so process to get past all the error messages and the several minutes of "whir, whir, click, click" between each one. Could someone please suggest a photo quality printer I could buy that would actually work without driving me crazy?

Thanks,

Carl (Rochester, New York)
