Very nice! What is the buzzing sound?

Thanks. Good point.

I used SL2+400mmL5.6+1.4 extender in my backyard. The bussing noise is definitely not from any of the lens/body/tripod or the immediate environment.

Two possible reasons:
1. I did not turn down the microphone while in movie mode. Is there even a build in volume control ?
2. Eliminate the audio during post processing,

Very novice at video. Like to learn from more experienced colleagues regarding audio.

External audio.

Audio is very sensitive to sounds transmitted through camera bodies, tripods, or mounts.  Sound gets poor very fast as you get farther from the subject.  Hence, external booms with fuzzy mic's held above actors' heads in movies.

Use a Zoom H1 ($99) audio recorder with an inexpensive mic and a fuzzy cat.  Get mic as close as possible to your sound source as you can.  Sync audio with video in post.  You can click your fingers, clap, or whatever, to help sync.  Or, use one of those boards with the hinged edge you slap together while yelling "Roll sound,...roll film!"

There are better, and more expensive, sound recorders but they are bigger than I want to carry.

For convenience, many people use one of Rodes' external mics connected to the camera's port and mounted to the hot shoe.  Then edit the video to remove any camera sounds while boosting the distant subject sounds.  Not as good but much easier to keep sound and video files together since it is all captured by the camera.

"He's dead, Jim! You grab his tri-corder. I'll get his wallet."
