I found a nice foreground for a Milky way pano. Castle Hill, NZ.
33

I had thought the big boulders  would make a nice composition, but then I found a 10m puddle, and my dreams came true!

K5, Samyang 24/1.4, 73 frames. Daylight wb.

For the water and land I used f/1.4 and 30s. For the stars I used F/2 and 60s with Astrotracer. Fisheye projection with Hugin.

I adjusted the black point for the sky (by colour), but not the water. I might try to accentuate the stars in the water.

The white light on the right by Jupiter may be Castle Hill town light pollution.
