AF with manual override in D3xxx series

To,

All who use/have used ,and also those ,who may have  reviewed the D3400,and to the venerable and knowledgable ones ,

Af with manual override  [ in the D3400]can be enabled in the camera menus,..how ever  its implementation is a bit difficult...no?

One starts with AFing [AF area-auto ]..[so focus is achieved at a particular AF point at the closest /highest contrast location ,but not the intended one ,and AF point lights up breifly]

While holding down the AF button one fine -tunes the focus by rotating the physical focus ring ,on the barrel of the lense .....with the intention to achieve focus at a distant /intended AF point ...so how does one confirm focus at the intended AF point ? only by visual inspection..since the AF point at the new location does not light up to confirm focus at the new point ..?

[I do understand that a work around would be to start with using single point AF area and move it around using the multi-selecter ........but I find this a lot slower ]

So any ideas will be appreciated !:)

Thanks to all those who may read and respond ...:)
