A reason why Canon keeps dominating the market. Price.

Some people keep wondering why Canon dominates sales with APS-C year after year after year.

Each year there is someone claiming that mirrorless or Sony or even 4/3 will take off, and each year they are wrong. Every single year Canon APS-C DSLR crushes everyone.

Go to any tourist area, anywhere in the world, and you'll see Canon DSLR after Canon DSLR.

Has anyone actually looked at the price of competitor cameras versus Canon. Sony and 4/3 are incredibly expensive compared to APS-C DSLR.

Just look at lenses.

Canon's best APS-C DSLR compatible lenses can be had for around $120 to $160.

Other brands are nowhere even close to that price / performance, mirrorless especially are not even remotely close. Even Nikon isn't close, even Canon own mirrorless cameras aren't even close.

Canon's choice in brand new cheap and good APS-C DSLR compatible lenses is unbeatable.
