Nice combination, and this time I used bifocals, instead of the loupe, that I normally have attached on my J5, and it worked quite well. It helped that I was sitting down, of course, and that the birds were not flying around.

I love my 70-300 CX, but the bokeh is in my mind even nicer with the 70-200/4.0.

Don't use this lens a lot, but I know that it is just as nice on CX, DX, or FX, bodies.

One of the first things I did with this lens, just minutes after having unpacked it, was that it slid out of the bag and hit the table, lens shade on.

No lens shade no more, but nothing else damaged, except maybe my self-esteem.

Got a replacement from Amazon, metal, just as I like it. Got a lens cap that fits at the end of the lens shade, also like I prefer it.

Can't say anything bad about this lens, it's just a jewel!
