I'm hoping this is allowed in this forum - finding a suitable place to ask this question has been challenging.
A local art gallery where I live mounts photos to wooden boards and coats them with a proprietary "acrylic emulsion". I have some of my own photos I'd like mounted in this fashion but their prices for doing so are pretty high. The finish is somewhat slightly above a matte texture. If you run your fingers over it, it's a bit rough and bumpy. It does a good job of bringing out the colors in the photo without producing a shiny finish.
I'm sure they custom make this by mixing things together, so I realize I'm probably not going to find the exact product. However, does anyone know of anything close to try? I've looked at Mod Podge, Liquitex, and a couple other things to no avail.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
