24mm vs 28mm in terms of composition and utility
1

I've seen lots of discussions about these two focal lengths, generally as primes, with photographers looking for buying advice on lens a vs lens b. But technical aspects aside, the difference boils down to a nearly 12% wider FOV and the differences in compression and DOF that come with the way an angle of view impacts your composition. I'm mostly thinking of these focal lengths in terms of a 35mm/full frame sensor, but the difference should be relatively the same for aps-c users (I think?).

Anyway I know that stepping forward or back a foot or two will change the composition but in my experience these lenses have been very similar in this regard and I was curious to know impressions from people who have owned a prime at both lengths and why they prefer one over the other for the same shooting conditions/subjects.
