Just do it!

The 14-140mm II is a great tall-around travel lens. MUCH better than the Oly lens. You won't be disappointed.

Hi Jeff I'm glad to see your comments on the 14-140mm II Panasonic lens, I bought a used GX7 which I'm anxiously waiting for it to arrive. I wanted a smaller camera than my big heavy Nikon D750 and the Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 lens, this combination I'm very happy with but I wanted something smaller so I can easily pack when I'm going overseas or bush-walking in the mountains. Where I live it's hard to find a camera shop that stocks this 14-140 lens and I have relied on reviews mainly in DP review.

I bought a 14-140mm II for my girlfriend to use with our GX7. I've been using fairly often with my GX8, too. We've been really pleased with the results. It's a fun lens to shoot with!

Comparing shots from the 14-140mm II with the 12-40mm in GOOD LIGHT, the image quality is very close. I tend to use them both at f5.6.
