Question for Russ, Rutger, or any one with a Sony ILC type camera

It has been a long time since I tracked any object that crossed near the zenith. Today while testing my Star Adventurer tracking mount, I encountered our old nemesis with Sony ILC cameras. When the camera is pointing high in the sky and moves across or near the zenith, the camera starts getting confused on how to orient the images being taken. As a result we wind up with some landscape and some portrait oriented images. No big deal as we can rotate them in any imaging app, but a PITA nevertheless. I seem to recall that we discussed this here in a thread way back when and I think maybe we came up with a solution. I hope so, but I cannot remember it. I have the FW version 3.20 on my Sony a6000, and I have the following option set:

MENU → (Playback) → Display Rotation → OFF.

Unfortunately this does not seem to stop the arbitrary changing of image orientation.

Can you guys remember how we solved this issue and made the camera always show a landscape orientation? Maybe we never solved it, but I thought we did. Since then I have installed newer FW which of course reset a lot of my custom settings.
