What lens would you recommend for filming artwork indoor at a museum.

Say I'm a beginner with a Lumix G7 and I wanted to get simple shots of art inside a museum. The camera would be on a tripod with a fluid head and the shots would be simple panning shots. I would also need to shoot some crisp details every now and again (specific areas of a painting or sculpture for example). I would also include some B-roll of the museum itself (some architecture shots) and maybe a documentary style interview or two (indoors, semi close to the subject from the waist-up)
My budget is limited and I'm not trying to have a lens for each one of these things. Would the 14-42mm kit lens that comes with the camera get the job done? Would a more "all-arounder" type lens like a 25mm be a better choice?
Thanks in advance
