For the long hikes I took the Olympus with the excellent 12-50.

Are you willing to forgo the FF quality on your hikes? What if you come across a once-in-a-lifetime marvelous landscape scene?

The quality of the 12-50 is very very good out to the corners and the resolution of the sensor is similar to the A9, so, yep - I'd be good with it.

I did have the 7-14 on the Olympus side and used that a lot.

Just curious, because I have thought about this with my own dual system.
