Does size of the lens matter if same apperture/dof?
Suppose I have a small point & shoot camera with a small lens, 25 mm wide and f 3.0. Suppose I also have a bridge camera with a much larger lens, but also 25 mm wide and f 3.0. So if I shoot at wide, they both have f 3.0 and 25 mm. Suppose both cameras have the same sensor type (1/2.3").
In this scenario, is there any advantage in having a physically larger lens? Would the much bigger bridge glass have the potential to produce a better picture than the tiny point & shoot glass?
