Canon 16-35 f2.8 iii on SD1M

This really is a nice full frame lens and lighter than the 18-35. Largest aperture is 2.8 but that is large enough. I thought to get this rather than the 18-35 + the new 14 f1.8. Less weight and less lens changing.

Here is a series of shots at f5.6 at 16, 20, 24, 28 and 35mm.

I hope Sigma can find a way to deliver a similar quality 16-35 DG zoom along with a 24-70 that comes a bit closer to the current Canon offering which from my reading seems to be pretty readily agreed upon to be best of the current crop.  What I'd really like though is a 35-70 with the IQ of the CY Contax 35-70 f3.4.
