E-M1.2 ISO-Auto, exposure less or greater versus your liking?

I'm looking pretty lazy as I should be able to determine this myself.  But, for those who use ISO-Auto do you find that the resultant image exposure is under or over what you desire?

For a coming bird photography trip the birds' background will range from dark to bright, and vice versa in several seconds as they land on and rise from bird baths, trees and beaches.  I'm leaning towards using ISO-Auto rather than my current set ISOs on C1, C2 & C3 to get better exposure and more keepers. In asking the question above I would like some idea of your experiences with ISO-Auto.

Thanks in advance.
