battery life relative to lens type

Does anyone have a feel for how a large lens like the 300mm f4 impacts battery life (# shots / charge?)  It seems like the much larger, heavier lens would require significantly more power to move around to focus than a smaller lens.

I'm trying to figure out how much battery I'm going to need on a 4 day stretch with no power in the Papua jungle.  em1-II and 300mm f4 and no history to rely on.  Will the f4 suck considerably more power than the 75-300?
