I expect it to be the same as the D500 battery which is a newer version of the EN-EL15. The newer version will fit and work on your D750, but if you have older the older version it probably will not work well (or at all) on a D850.

Also, the improvement in battery life will mainly come from not having a built-in flash as that means no flash is used in determining CIPA rating for battery life.

Isn't it called EN EL 15a ?
