VERY Nice DxO Option.."Wider-er"
Using DxO on at least RX100V arw files, try this.
Geometry, Distortion...uncheck the maintain aspect ratio option.
You still get the distortion correction (better than what the JPEGs get in-camera) but can get a usefully wider shot.
About 8-9% more pixels in the side to side or Horizontal direction. Same Height.
JPEG from Sony camera: 5472 x 3648 pixels, 19,961,856 total (same as Sony specifies)
ARW Raw from Sony Camera, std DxO: 5472 x 3648 pixels, 19,961,856 total (same as above)
ARW Raw from DxO, correct distortion but unchecked Maintain Aspect Ratio box:
5972 x 3648 pixels, 21,785,856 (+9% on width and total megapixels)
Just click and watch your images from the lens "become" a few mm wider.
No vignetting concerns, but any filter setup will need to be tweaked. I had to cut down the rim on a polarizer on my lathe to get my corners happy when running extra-wide.
