I know nothing about them other than:

  • I like the look of them and I've toyed with buying one
  • I've several friends who have Surface Pros and they've been pleased with them.

I buy used computers on eBay and have never been disappointed. My last purchase was a Microsoft Surface Pro 128GB that came with a keyboard cover and pen that cost $199 with free shipping. It looks essentially new and the screen is very nice...like Kodachrome slides. It replaces an ancient Dell Latitude D531 that still runs well and dual boots to Win7 and Win10.

It took most of a day to upgrade the Surface from Win8 Pro to Win10 Pro and Win10 was still free.

As for battery failure, my various laptop batteries seem to last forever. I still have an HP Jornada 728 pocket computer that the kids and grandkids play with occasionally.
