Considering EF-M 18-150, How does it compare to EF-S 18-135 STM on M5?

Hi All,

I've been using the EF-S 18-135 STM with EF-M adapter on the M5 for a couple of months now, and I am really pleased with it's performance.  IQ is superb.  Focusing is fast.  Vignetting is not really an issue. Weight, bulk and size... hmm...

So I have been considering purchasing the EF-M 18-150.  It's a lot smaller and lighter.  However very little reviews are out there on this lens. Photozone has some reviews of the earlier EF-M lenses all had mediocre ratings especially regarding vignetting.  They seem to hint at the vignetting issue being caused by the sensor in their M3 test body, not the lenses.  I can't see this being a sensor thing at least not on the M5 since the EF-S 18-135 STM seems not to be suffering with this.

Does someone here have experience with both these lenses on an M5 or M6 that can shed some light on the performance of the EF-M 18-150?

Thanks
