Hi guys. What are thoughts about dp2x in 2017? What is it good for and what's bad about it? What do you use it for and when?

It's the only camera I really regretted selling, they're rare as Hens teeth now. Just like any other Foveon camera, it's not for fast shooting, but it had the best colour of all the foveon cameras I've ever had, and cloud rendering was really good on mine as well. It was also pretty resistant to flair by foveon standards, but when you did get it then it was not objectionable, more likely to be usable creatively. It has a slow start up time and makes a weird noise when firing up, like a Dinosaur in pain (use Jurassic park for reference). It's very small with excellent IQ, a truly carry everywhere camera, I miss mine even now. The main issue to be aware of is that the ribbon cable connecting the lens to the Motherboard breaks over time, it's the cameras biggest weak point, though it can be replaced by all accounts. The fault is caused by the ribbon cable weakening when the lens extends and retracts over time.

Some examples for you from mine.
