Thanks digidog for that info.

That is quite a hassle looks like compared to File...Automate...Contact Sheet II in PS3.

Good luck with your photography.

Hard to beat Lightroom's print module for the task.

I have Lightroom 4 but have never used it. I'm 71 years young and don't trust "the cloud stuff". Yeah, I know I am crazy!!!

I did get a contact sheet printed using the method above you suggested. So, I can get by with that...but..

Could I now print the contact sheet in Lightroom 4 from the folder of images that is now in my Documents file? I will look at that.

Thanks you are a GREAT help.

You don't need a cloud version. I don't trust it either. i'm happily using Lightroom 6 non-cloud version.

I am sort of playing with LR4 now trying to print a contact sheet. No luck yet.

Select any number of images in Grid or from filmstrip. Go to print module. Once and only once you create a print template that defines a layout (number of "cells" per page) for the contact sheet. The saved template can store everything about the printing parameters including page size, paper and profile, driver settings etc. from then on, select any number of images and hit print. In the time it takes you just to open a few dozen images in Photoshop, your contact sheet in LR is configured. This module is hugely productive and vastly more powerful than Photoshop for printing multiple images.

OK, I wanted to have 16 images on contact sheet so I choose 4 & 4 for cell. Spaced them a little and looking better. They are now horizontal and verticals as they should be.

Good.

In PS my image numbers appear below the photo on contact sheet. That is VERY handy when an Editor says I want image# etc., etc... I'm sure that is possible in LR?

Go down into the area called Photo Info and examine the possibilities to label the sheet. I think what you are asking for resides there, perhaps sequences?

Again note, once you setup everything as you desire, build (save) a custom template which will recall everything needed to print this document.

The templates will be different depending on number of photos I am sending out. I will just save different templates and use as needed. If I have trouble with this....I will be back.

Thanks so much for your help.
