My M3 began collecting dust after I purchased an M5. I wound up having Life Pixel convert the M3 to infrared. As a previous poster wrote, being able to shoot infrared as easily as shooting visible light opened up a whole new world of possibilities.

Larry--

Are you able to use all of your EF-M lenses without hot spots on the M3 infrared? When I was having a conversion done by them I noted that several Canon lenses could not be used on IR cameras because of hotspots. Instead of converting one of my Canon's, I had an Olympus mirrorless converted because I could buy a couple of their slower zoom lenses cheaply and they worked well w/o hotspots, but I would love to switch to Canon mirrorless IR and consolidate equipment in my bag.

I haven't noticed any significant problem with hot spots since the conversion. On the other hand, I haven't really tested for hot spots (too busy learning to see the world in infrared :-)). When the weather improves (showers are expected today), I'll try a few shots with a wide-angle lens and small aperture, look for hot spots, and post my results here.
