EXR Pro vs EXR Processor II vs X-Processor Pro

As far as in-camera JPEGs go, it's not the sensor that matters so much as the image processing chip. There were two different image processing chips used with the original X-Trans sensor. The X-Pro1 and X-E1 use the EXR Pro. The X100S and X-M1 use the EXR Processor II, the same chip used in the X-Trans II models (X-E2, X-T1, X100T, X-T10, X-E2S, and X70).

The X-Trans III models so far (X-Pro2, X-T2, X-T20, and X100F) use yet another image processing chip: the X-Processor Pro.

My (small) point being mainly that although they have the original X-Trans sensor, the X-M1 and X100S produce JPEG images more like the X-Trans II cameras.
