Absolutely true.

It is not a very convincing sales-pitch if the output is such that it still needs re-work on a PC to look presentable (or at least better than a lousy phone-pic). Especially for more expensive camera's, people may (rightfully IMHO) expect good results SOOC.

Camera's have superior optics and sensors already, so why drag them down with slow CPUs? Let's face it, most buyers do not want (or have the time/patience/skills/...) to spend hours behind the pc for post-processing.

This being said, even with my X-T1's SOOC JPGs, I can amaze any phone-shooter anytime of the day.
