I recently bought a Mefoto Roadtrip classic tripod (aluminium) with the intention of trying out the E-M5 mkII Hi-Res. Here is a 100% crop of an image with water in it:

E-M5 Mk II + old four thirds 9-18 - crop at 100%.

Note the artifacts in the water.  The Hi-Res exposures also seems to have averaged out the water revealing more reflection than would normally be the case.  Have a go at post-processing this and see if it might meet your needs.

I haven't progressed very far with using Hi-Res. It does seem a bit more hit and miss due to the lack of IS. If I downsize to hide the artifacts, I can still downsize to larger than normal, and there is certainly more detail. There may also be something about the colour that has improved, but I cannot be certain of that. We're I live it's often too windy to use it.

Here are some images I've previously put on flickr - even at 100% the vegetation detail is quite crisp - more than I would normally expect:

E-M5 MkII Hi Res - 4/3 9-18 - After pp and downsizing - Zealandia Valve Tower

The following is a crop out an older image which I didn't originally like - but being Hi Res, I could choose part of it I did like:

40-150 f/2.8 - Zealandia Lower Lake

Hope this helps.
