Thanks, no HDR used or polarisation filter used. Only a single RAW file and PP in Lightroom. DR made a big improvement in the M5.

Thank you for your reply! Your pictures looks very promising regarding the quality of the EOS M5 RAW files. Improvement compared to?

Previous Canon sensors like the one in the M3 or original M.

Excellent choice of both destination and gear to travel light.

My father was born in S.Miguel and I just can't enough of it...in fact I can't get enough of the whole archipelago.

The M5 tends to underexpose and It shows a bit in your photos.

Initially, I was considering returning the camera for the exposure bias to be adjusted (...it can be done by tech support...) but then I learned to "think" like this camera:

If there's even the slightest area of full white or specular highlights in the scene, exposure has to be adjusted by 2/3 to a full stop EC,

Thanks it's a great destination indeed

Yeah I had the same idea when I was home and going through all the photo's. A majority of the photo's are a little on the dark side. Already try to fix it but maybe not all shots and maybe still a it to dark. Will pay a little more attention with the next shots in PP.
