IMO, Canon's attention to a lot of things that matter to those of us who like to use the VF is sorely lacking. The manuals are heavy on using Live View, and shooting movies, but how about a few pages on VF issues ??

This is how Canon misleads people and it really bothers me. They know removing the eye sensor would be an issue for many so they don't bother to mention hoping they can fool people into buying the camera anyway. If I ever leave Canon for another brand this type of behavior will be a major reason for it.

I bought the little G5X last year to take on trips as a backup  phone to my SL1, and to use in the evenings when I want a "drop-in-the-purse" phone when we are at dinner.  The GX1 has a touch screen menu with tiny settings icons clustered around the edge of the LCD.  Because of their size, it is very easy to touch the wrong icon when you want to change a setting.  So I was very happy when I saw the SL2 stil retained that format.  Just wish Canon had left a good auto eye sensor alone  !  I guess there's alwyas something we wish we had that no longer works, and we just have to adjust to it ....  and we get over it !.... hopefully !
