F stops,DXO ISO rating and low light performance... The math?

I've been reading links and info on lenses suggested to me by posters of the forums and I have one question. I understand the relationship between f stops, ISO and shutter speed, but what about low light camera rating?

Say you have a 25mm f1.7 lens and you measure the low light performance in three different cameras:

1) 12mp Low light ISO rating in the 500s

2) 16mp low light ISO rating in the 700s

3) 16mp low light ISO rating in the 900s

How does the low light ISO rating changes the f stop gain or loss? Will it be enough to change the depth of field?
