X100T: What would cause internal shutter count to be lower than file number?

I just picked up a used X100T and noticed something peculiar.  The internal shutter count is currently at 1800.  But the file numbering has my most recent photo at DSCF1942.  I know both are notoriously unreliable ways of ascertaining a "true" shutter count, but I always thought the internal shutter count would be higher than the number of images taken, sometimes by quite a bit.  My old X100s certainly exhibited that behavior.
