Review - The X-Pro2 (switching from the X-T2)
3

In short, the Fujifilm X-T2 just didn’t sit with me. All of it is of course just personal preference based on how I like my cameras.

And the X-T2 is a great camera, truly fantastic.
Its just that with expensive gear like this I get very, very picky. On cheaper cameras I would let it all slide.

So if you have the X-T2, Im not ripping on your camera. I actually like it a lot.

I made a video review on the subject:

To sum up the reasons that made me switch was:

  • Grip
I think the grip and shutter button placement is much nicer on the Pro2.
  • Handling
I like the handling more as well. Its more straight forward and familiar for me.
  • Feel
Some of the components and button feel a bit flimsy on the X-T2 but solid on the Pro.
  • Viewfinder
Having both optical and electronic is the best of two worlds imo.
  • X-T20
Its a weird reason I know. But for me I rather buy the cheap X-T20 as backup and use the X-Pro2 as A-Cam. Then I get all the features I want from the X-T2 and then some. There are more features in the X-T2, but not that I personally need.

The only question now is if the X100f could replace both of them… I will find out soon enough since I impulse bought it a few days ago.
