The right choice for Nikon D750 for Landcapes.

I had shortlisted the Nikkor 18-35 f3.5 - 4.5 G for my landscape lens for Nikon D750. However, I read some comments at DPR that this lens has a very "flat color / tonality" when compared to the Nikkor 20 mm f1.8 G Prime lens. I would like to have the flexibility of the zoom if possible. As I shoot most landscapes with a tripod I don't think a fast lens is essential. But what about the color and IQ of these two lenses in question ?

There are some 3rd party options like the Tokina 17-35 F4.

Could members advice which one is better and why ?
