I have a D5500. What button do I use to do BBF

AE-L/AF-L by setting menu f2 to "AF-ON" per page 267 in the manual

Mako ..Thanks for the lucid and detailed explanation ...:)

I have been trying the BBF lately ...just thinking ....once the AE-L/AF-L button is dedicated to AF ,how would one lock exposure ( when one is focussing is at a different area of the subject and the exposure is from a yet different /brighter part ..of the same subject....using spot metering ).........does it make sense to lock exposure with the shutter button or just overall underexpose [using matrix metering ] by 1/2 to 1 stop to contain highlights and brighten in post?

thanks

regards

My opinions are my own and not those of DPR or its administration. They carry no 'special' value (except to me and Lacie of course)
