Peregrine vs Osprey. Who wins?
7

This is what I live for in wildlife photography. To be there when this happens. An osprey minding its own business watching over a nest of hatched young ones, maybe several weeks old.

It sounds the alarm from its perch before I see who the intruder is. The osprey takes to the air to engage a juvenile peregrine falcon. They were flying all over the place and came very close to one another (I have the photo - will post later). The chase went on for quite some time.

In past years I have seen peregrine falcon in the area so they likely nest nearby too.

Only thing I wish is I had my Canon 500 f4 with me. I had crossed the border into the USA earlier so did not want to bring a big lens with me. They can ask for proof you didn't just buy it from the USA. To avoid trouble, I left it at home.

Canon 7D MK2.  Made a big difference in my photography.  Still working fine, no issues at all.  Can't wait for the 7D MK3.

Taken with Canon 400 5.6L + 7D MK2. Thanks for looking.
