I'm looking at purchasing an XT2, and I'm trying to decide on what lenses would work best for me. I'm looking at purchasing 3 lenses total, the 23mm 1.4, the 56mm 1.2 and a 3rd lens.
Trying to decide between the 18-55mm, the 16-55mm and the 16mm.
I'll be shooting about 80% Photography, 20% videography. The video I shoot will be predominantly with a 3 axis gimbal, so I'm wondering how the gimbal and the OIS on the Kit lens effect each other. I know that OIS causes issues when used on a tripod, as its already stabilized, but what about a gimbal? On other brands I've seen it be a help and a hindrance, what about Fuji?
Thanks everyone,
If you are using a good three axis gimbal I would not us IS on the lens. The gimble will do a better job and I would be concerned with the OIS in the lens causing issues for this use. Of course running an experiment might be the only way to know.
