Hindesite, ha, that's a perfect excuse for me to go back to NZ another day, to visit Wellington and other parts that I hadn't visited yet

Mad Kiwi, yes it's a bit of a challenge to pick which gear to bring and which one to leave, while keeping the weight to minimum. I am pretty happy with my setup though, the GX8 with 12-35 and or 14-140, and the GX7 with either 9-18 or 7-14 and or 35-100 4-5.6 plus a speedlight and a transceiver.

Regarding taking flash on your trip to France, I highly recommend keep it simple with one light and a pair of transceivers, and use the sun as our second light. That's what I did in NZ, and I think it worked as I expected it
