Preservation of detail: The Foveon Advantage (Show us your examples)
2

Due primarily to the lack of the aa filter, I think, Foveon has always had a unique ability to preserve detail in even the smallest objects in an image when the shot was optimal.  Long ago, I took a picture of a coyote in grass where despite the small image it was fully recognizable at full size and retained sufficient detail in enlargement to stand out compared to what other cameras can do.

Here is a hummingbird I took yesterday with the 50mm f2.8 macro using manual focus and peaking.  The original image, the crop and the crop sharpened with Piccure+

Please join in and post your own images that reflect this resolution ability of the foveon chips.
